Inception av Christopher Nolan

Drømmer i stor skala

Jeg har gledet meg lenge til den nye filmen til Nolan! Nå er den her og jeg ser frem til å se hans fantastsike, spektakulære effekter og magiske uttrykk. Dette er en actionfilm der drømmer og evnen til å se inn i andres tanker og drømmeverden bygger historien. Leonardo Di Caprio spiller hovedrollen. Rollelisten for øvrig er som alltid i Nolans filmer eksepsjonellt god der finner vi bla. Cillian Murphy, Marion Cotillard, Michael Cain og Ellen Page. Andre gode av Nolan: Memento (2000) og The Prestige (2006) og The Dark Knight (2008)

Jeg har alltid interessert meg for filmer som på en eller annen måte prøver å visuallisere drømme-verdenen enten det er på et filosofisk eller fiksjonsmessig plan, nevner raskt en annen favoritt, Michel Gondrys The Science of Sleep (2006). Vel verdt å se og bli forvirret på en deilig måte! Og for ikke å glemme at hovedrollen spilles av Gabriel Garcia Bernal..

Upperdog -filmtips

Det er ikke ofte jeg ser filmer for tiden, men denne må jeg bare ambefale på det sterkeste. Den er fra 2009- men først nå har jeg fått sett den, endelig. Sara Johnsen er regissør og jeg elsker også hennes andre store film "Vinterkyss" fra 2005.

Handlingen i Upperdog i korte drag:

Som småbarn adopteres halvsøsknene Axel og Yanne til Norge, han til materiell velstand på Oslo vest, hun til en gjennomsnittsfamilie på Oslos østkant. Hos sine velmenende, men ettergivende adoptivforeldre vokser Axel opp til å bli en bortskjemt snobb som skjuler usikkerheten om bakgrunnen sin bak en likegyldig fasade. I motsetning til den yngre broren husker Yanne at de kom til Norge, men ettersom de ble skilt ved ankomsten, vet hun ikke hvem han er eller hvor han befinner seg.

Inmponerende bra skuespillerprestasjoner, klipping og filmmusikk- dette er noe av det bedre av norsk film jeg har sett på lenge!

Praplyene i Cherbourg

Denne filmen er estetisk vakker! Det er en god stund siden sist jeg så den, men kom på at den er verdt å se igjen.. Jeg synes scenografien, kostymene og fargene er det beste her. Det er sødmefyllt og sukkersøt musikk og det er en ren musikal der alt blir sunget..

Grey Gardens. Fantastisk film om fantastiske personer!

Grey Gardens is the name of a neglected, sprawling estate gone to seed. The crumbling mansion was home to Edith Bouvier Beale, often referred to as "Big Edie," and her daughter, "Little Edie." The East Hampton, Long Island, home became the center of quite a scandal when it was revealed in 1973 that the reclusive aunt and cousin to Jackie O. were living in a state of poverty and filth. That's the background to this 1976 film portrait by cinéma vérité pioneers Albert and David Maysles, but it's only incidental to the fascinating story they discover inside the estate walls.

The two Edies have lived in almost complete seclusion since the mid-1950s, ever since Big Edie's husband abandoned her and Little Edie (then a young socialite on the verge of a dancing career, or so she claims) was called home to care for her depressed mother. Twenty years later they continue to live in their memories while camped out in a single bedroom of the 28-room mansion overrun with cats (who use the floor as their litter box). Rehashing mistakes and missed chances with an accusing banter that becomes more stinging and angry as the documentary progresses, they exist in a sad co-dependency that brings new meaning to the term "dysfunctional."

Disturbing and discomforting, it comes off like a freak show at times, but for all their arguments and recriminations, the Maysles reveal two women abandoned by their families who are left to cling to each other, for better or worse.
